I've been casually looking for a flash-based portable mp3 player for the past year or so. I wasn't really thrilled about the design of the IPod Nano when it was first launched. And all the others I've seen just didn't appeal to me --- that is, until my boss showed me his new MobiBLU Cube.
Wow! This looks soo cute! I really want one of these things now -- in pink, of course. I did a search and found out that it's available for a very reasonable price at Walmart USA.
Claire, being the naughty toddler that she is, loves to push the power button on the computer. There were times when I was working on the computer (such as placing a last-minute bid on eBay) and then I'd get a message "Windows is shutting down". Oh nooooo..... I just lost that bid, darnit.
Then when I reboot the computer, the ominous message "Your hard drive is being checked for errors" appears and I just know that one of these days the hard drive is going to flake out. And that hard drive holds ALL our precious photos! Some of the photos are backed up to DVD, but I admit, backing up to DVD can be such a pain.
So yesterday, we picked up our new must-have Vantec Nexstar 3 drive enclosure and a 200 GB hard drive. Being a techie geek that I am, I just had to admire the sleek design of the drive enclosure. Doesn't it look sexy?
Now that we have this sexy backup system, I can breathe a BIG sigh of relief. Seriously, it would really suck if our photos were wiped out completely. Just imagine losing several years' worth of memories? Yup, this backup system is definitely worth the money.
