It's August! Yikes! Again, I feel like time just flew by in a hurry. Last week, Vince and I were off for a week because Claire's daycare was closed for their summer holiday. She went back to school today, Vince went back to work and I had the extra day off work today. Woohoo!! Freedom! I am at home alone, enjoying a cup of coffee, doing laundry and ready to blog.
Anyway, we had rainy weather almost everyday last week so we didn't get out much. But that allowed me to catch up with my scrapbooking. Because our place is still for sale (no offers yet *sigh*) and still on the market, I still have to keep my scrap area uncluttered and clean, which can be a bad thing if I'm looking for a specific embellishment and I have no idea where I stored it. Anyhow, I'm back in the POTP Design Team. Yay! I have been working on the very yummy August kit, featuring Chatterbox Botanico papers, Artsylicious embellishments, Hambly rubons and Scrapworks appliques and letters. I've been super productive too - I was able to create 5 layouts, plus a card and mini-album with the kit and extra stuff from the POTP store. Upload Day is in a couple of days so I'll be posting my work soon :)
What else??
Ahh! I saw this being demo'd at Cherish the Thought during Sonja's class last week, and when I found out it's available at Walmart for a great price, I knew I had to get it.

It takes all brands of dies and it will cut chipboard! Yeah baby! Now, I do hope to make use of this tool and not let it sit and gather dust like my Wishblade has. Well hmm...now that I feel all excited about diecutting, maybe I should play with my Wishblade more often, huh?
A couple of Saturdays ago, we bought a new toy for the family. The Wii Fit. I bought on impulse (lol! no surprise but I do blame my friend Tracy for this! heehee) at the same Superstore we bought the console. You know, we just happened to be there because we were driving my parents around and they had a doctors appointment in the same Superstore building. And Superstore just happened to have a new shipment of the Wii Fit that day. Who could resist?
Anyway, we barely touched the Fit, although Claire is loving the Yoga! But now that we finished playing Raving Rabbids --- our favourite family game which we are addicted to, which we played a lot last week -- we are ready to move on to other games. :)
One thing I discovered about Claire while we were playing Wii Sports. She's a natural golfer! She has won against me, Vince and her Uncle Carlo. I kid you not. Maybe I should take her out of ballet and swimming lessons and get her into golf lessons. Besides, that's where the big money is, right? ;)
Ok back to more blogging later..
